The Geek Team Wants You
Have you ever installed a lightbulb without being electrocuted?  Have you changed the batteries in your TV remote control without having a panic attack? Do your ears and eyes work fairly well most of the time, either with or without eye glasses or hearing aids?  Are you tall enough to go on the adult rides at amusement parks?  Have you ever considered pursuing a hobby or career in the rewarding fields of broadcasting, electronics, entertainment or aerospace engineering?   If you can answer affirmatively to most of these questions, then the Prairie UU "Geek Team" wants you!

The Geek Team is a group of volunteers that will help set up, take down and operate audio-visual equipment at Prairie UU Sunday services and other church-related events.  At the moment, this work mostly involves our portable sound system. In the future, it could include video projectors, computers, disco balls, teleportation chambers and other exciting, cutting-edge gizmos.

Currently, Rick Reid is doing most of this sort of thing, but he needs a reliable group of backup volunteers to get the job done when he isn't available or just wants to take a break.  A few valiant geeks have been helping Rick from time-to-time, but we need several more geeks to join our quest and share the workload.  The tasks involved are fairly easy and Rick will train you, personally.

If you are proud to be a geek and you are willing to use your powers for good instead of evil, please contact Rick Reid ASAP.  Live long and prosper!
