Public Radio Project Into Its Second Year
If you like hearing those UU messages on public radio stations, and you were one of the people who helped make it happen by donating to the Public Radio (PR) Project last fall, now would be a great time to "re-up" your support. That way we can keep those great underwriting messages going through the holiday season. We've had thousands of hits on the Project web site, which shows that people are hearing about us on the air.

If you didn't know about the PR Project last year, and your membership in a public radio station will be up for renewal this fall, consider donating through the Mountain Desert District's PR Project so your charity dollars can do double duty - supporting public radio and helping to get better name recognition for Unitarian Universalism. You can do that instead of, or in addition to, your personal membership. If you don't generally listen or donate to public radio, you can still help get the UU word out.

Thank you to all the UUs who have donated to the PR Project this last year, raising over $18,000 from the seven Boulder Denver congregations. Members of the Ft. Collins, Grand Junction, and Loveland congregations will be joining us this year. With persistence and sustained effort, we can, once again, be acknowledged as a voice that counts in the public discussion of religious and social values. Think of all the people who have come to us saying "Wow, I wish I'd known about UUism twenty years ago." We owe it to them, and the many others like them who still don't know about us, to let our light shine in a public forum.

To donate, simply write a check to PUUC with "public radio" in the memo line and drop it in the collection plate during Sunday services. For more information, contact Rick Reid.
