The fundraising team runs and oversees all the church’s fundraising efforts, including the annual auction and the selling of grocery certificates and gift cards. Once a year, Prairie has a pledge drive -- or canvass -- during which we ask members to consider their financial support for the church and its effort to grow its programming.
Prairie is participating in the Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) scrip card program sponsored by the Mountain Desert District. This program is a means of raising funds for the MDD, as well as Prairie. These gift cards make great client/customer gifts as well as budget managers! The selection of gift cards available through the GLSC program range from local fast food and retail shops to hotel resorts, cruises and theme parks, and the percentage donated ranges anywhere from 4% to 23%! You can order cards or set up an account to order the GLSC cards online either by contacting the GLSC program coordinator, Emi Duke, or by visiting her at the gift card table during Fellowship hour. Sprouts and Vitamin Cottage cards are not available through the GLSC, but you can pre-order these cards through Emi, along with the reloadable King Sooper cards. There will also be a limited supply of "stock cards" available each week for immediate purchase. Please let Emi know if you would like a particular card added to the stock card supply. GLSC cards are ordered on the 2nd Monday of each month, so orders can be submitted through the 2nd Sunday of each month. Orders will be available for pick-up during social hour the following Sunday. |
